In the heart of Louisville, an art show will take place on October fourth, fifth, and sixth. People come from all over the U.S. to participate in this huge event. This event, as you can probably guess from the title, is the Saint James Court Art Show. The Saint James Court Art Show has been going on in Louisville for 57 years. Since then, the event has grown to be a countrywide occasion.
The Saint James Court Art Show has artists from all over the U.S. bring their best work to show and sell. These people are from California, New York, you name it. Not only is there a variety in home states, but a variety in artwork as well. There are painters, photographers, pottery artists, leather workers, ceramic artists, welders, porcelain artists, glass blowers, sewers, toy makers, and many others. There are over 750 artists participating in this event. There will be many food vendors, too, in case you would like to have your culinary arts with your design arts. Over a quarter million people come every year for the Victorian buildings, fall weather, and art pieces. You could be one of those quarter million this year.
There are many other ways in which the Saint James Court Art Show is special. Each year, they have a contest to see what the poster and tee shirt design will be that year. So, as you may guess, every year’s logo has a different style. What better way to spend a nice autumn day than taking a walk among the fine arts of our country? This art show extends for many blocks in old Louisville. This means that even if one booth doesn’t particularly interest you, there are many other art pieces to please your eye. Kick off fall break the right way- with a nice day in Louisville enjoying fall weather and art.
