After School Spotlight #4

This week’s spotlight is on C-H-E-E-R. We interviewed our first 5th grader and first set of sisters, Grace (7th) and Abbie Swarens (5th). They both have been cheering since they were little. Abbie plays other sports as well, such as basketball.

Q1: What team do you cheer for? Do you like cheering for that team?

Abbie: I cheer for All Star, and yes I do like cheering for them.

Q2: Do you like cheering with your sister?

Abbie: Yes, and no, she can be bossy.

Q3: How long have you been cheering?

Abbie: Since I was 6, now i’m 10.

Q4: Why did you start cheering?

Abbie: I like to see different people do different flips, it looked fun.

Q5: Do you do any other sports?

 

Abbie: Yes, Softball, Basketball, Gymnastics, and Track

Q6: Do you need any special skills?

Abbie: Flexibility, having a high jump, and you have to be able to work well with others.

Q1: What team do you cheer for? Do you like cheering for that team?

Grace: I cheer for All Star, and yes because it’s fun to tumble, stunt, and jump.

Q2: Do you like cheering with your sister?

Grace: Yes.

Q3: How long have you been cheering?

Grace: About 6 years.

Q4: Why did you start cheering?

Grace: Well, I was doing gymnastics with Carly (her coach) and in 3rd grade she told me I should start cheering.

Q5: Do you do any other sports?

Grace: Yes, I do Gymnastics,

Q6: Do you need any special skills?
Reply: Flexibility.
